Life Guard and Life Guide!

For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end - Psalm 48:14

I used to take my sons to the swimming pool and I would feel very comfortable and at peace when I see Life guard around and I feel so safe with the fact that they are available of hand to help out in case of emergency. We all appreciate guides as they walk us through the unknown places at the tourist sites. With the new technology developments, our appreciations goes to Global positioning system (GPS) as it guides us through to our unknown destination. Either it be a life guard or life guide, what matters the most is our "trust" on the person serving as life guard in the swimming pool or the life guide who leads us.

In Psalm 48, the Psalmist eagerly waits to the New Jerusalem on Mount Zion. He also reminds us that it is good to think about our future in heaven
in the city of the great King. He foresees the time when every tribe and touge will confess that our Lord is God when gathered on that great city. The Psalmist encourages us that this God who will not put us to shame will lead us till that time and no need for fear. Our Lord is not only our God in this world but also for ever and ever through eternity.

We have a God who led Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Jacob, David and so on. He also gave us His won Son Jesus Christ who sacrificial death and resurrection gave us Salvation. The same God who is the same yesterday, today and forever will lead us not only in this world but will lead and guide us till the end of our this life and beyond towards eternity. What a great promise to those who trust this God! See the promise in Isaiah 58:11 which says, "And the LORD will guide you continually and satisfy your desire......". Another powerfull promise of our Lord is seen in Revelation 7:17, that reads, "For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

Our family celebrated our 10th Christmas in 2009 and 13th away from home (we lived in Taiwan before our arrival to Atlanta). Staying away in another country poses a huge challenge. We need guidance and protection in every thing you name it; we do lack support system as we are away from our parents and other family members. But my wife and I can tell very confidentally that God's grace was sufficient for our lives as we see His guidance every day, and in every way. Friends we thought may be our life long companions moved out and God gracisouly provided His guidance, Godly families, and immense grace through out these past 10 years in Atlanta. We did not lack any good thing. Praise God! Remember, if you are stuck without a guide, He is your Guide; If your hearts desires not fulfilled by your standalone efforts, He will fulfill your desires; If you have none to hear your outcry, He will not only hear you but will also make sure there is no single tear drop around your eyes. If your life is not safe and concerned of your health, job, decision-making this year, be encouraged through Psalm 91:11 that promises, "For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways."

You have an amazing GOD. So get up and rejoice for HE will guide you till the end.

Praise God for this Eternal Life God and Eternal Life Guide!

Prayer: Thank you my God, my Guard, and my Guide.  Please hold my hands; if I do , I may loose my grip.  But when you hold me, I will be ever in your grip.

May you have Blessed Day!
