God
reigns! God rules!
The Lord has made the heavens His
throne; from there He rules over everything
– Psalm 103:19 (NLT)
In the above verse, David reminds us that our
Lord rules over everything He has made. Essentially, the verse says
that God is
in control of all things and rules over all things. He has power and
authority
over nature, earthly kings, and demons. Even Satan himself has to ask
permission before he can act. If you are a believer and allowed God to
be
seated on the throne of your heart, then He is under control of your
life. He
knew every little thing that is happening to you. He watches over your
life. We
have a father who neither slumbers nor sleeps.
On
September 21, 1999, this horrific incident of
our lives happened in Taiwan
where we lived before our arrival to Atlanta, USA.
Early
hours of this day, a terrible earthquake shook the entire nation of Taiwan
and
around 5000 people perished in less than an hour time. The epicenter
was around
200 miles away from our city Hsinchu, namely Nanotou. The intensity of
the
earth quake at the epicenter was 6.8 on a Richter scale and at our city
it was
5.2. Now one experienced earth quake could understand the horror people
might
have gone through. We were shocked that night and lost all our hope for
living
and our building was shaking horizontally by 1 foot back and forth that
continued for 45 seconds. My wife and I woke up our son giving him
shock on his
Birthday. We prayed and said our final prayers. I prayed, Lord if it is
your
will, save us so we can lead a life pleasing to you and serve you.
There is
none around to help because everyone going through the same hard time.
After
our prayers, our Lord who is in control, power, and authority over
nature
intervened. The earth became standstill. I lift up my eyes to the
hills—where
does my help came from? My help came from the
LORD, the
Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm
121:1-2). Our
Lord gave
us the wisdom to leave our apartment at the 4th floor.
Later,
miraculously led us to Atlanta

If
your life events you think out of control and
no one around you understands. Do you feel like things falling apart
and you
are losing your ability to fix? You do have a great God to fix things
for your
life only if you surrender and submit your life and firmly trust him.
For He
who is in you in greater than the one in the world (1 John 4:4).
Remember
always the believer’s acronym for TRUST, Totally Relying
Upon
your Savior’s Time table. If you believe you will see
the glory
of God (John 11:40). If you trust that your life you are navigating is
under
His control you will have peace in your life. That is the secret to
stay calm
at the time of calamity.
Once, a young man desired to fly an airplane. He
selected the best flight trainer who can help him fly airplane
independently.
After the initial orientation and sufficient in-flight lessons, the
trainer
asked the young man, you start flying and that the trainer would be
with him
during the flight. The young man was very reluctant to start and
worried about
flying as he is not confident of flying by himself in spite of the
presence of
his trainer. The flight trainer said to him, “Look, there is no
position you
can get this airplane into that I cannot get you out of. If you want to
learn
to fly, go up there and do it again.”
Remember, there is no situation you can get into
that God cannot get you out. He is under control of your life and He
will lead
you and help you navigate your life for God’s glory.
Prayer:
Lord thank you that you are in control
of my life and no matter what ever happens, help me not be shaken in my
faith
in you. I know you love me more than anyone in this world.
