Faith Formula at Work!

According to your faith will it be done to you – Matthew 9:29

The law of expectation is “we get what we expect out of life.” Optimism through the power of faith in Christ is critical in our lives. William Carey said, “Expect great things from God and attempt great things for God.”

Once two blind men asked Jesus to heal their blindness and expected Jesus to show mercy on them. Jesus expected them to have “Faith” on Him. Jesus asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” As the blind men replied, “Yes, Lord”. This is the proclamation of their faith. Jesus touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you”. Jesus left it to their choice to receive mercy. They had a choice to have faith or doubt God’s ability to show mercy on them. They chose the former and received mercy.

Today, you too have a choice. You can choose to live by fear or by faith. Both faith and fear have similarities. Both are aimed towards unknown events and both have the ability to drive the moods. Faith helps one to conduct his/her life in a positive way while fear can negatively influence oneself. Any time we face challenges, we must learn to train ourselves to recall God’s goodness and mercy on the past situation and hold on to our faith in God firmly. Remember faith leads to clarity but fear leads to confusion and chaos. To grow more in our faith, we must ask God to constantly remove fear from us. You may recall in the Christmas story that every time angels appeared, their first mission is to drive our fear by saying, “Fear not”. Fear like a polluted water unsuitable for drinking. The water has to be purified to qualify for drinking. Remember the verse, “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7).

Things might have turned against you for worse. It may be unbearable. But see those situations through the eyes of faith. If you love God, believe that everything that happened is for good. Apostle Paul says in Romans 8:28, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Everything that happens fit into a pattern for good for those who love and trust our Lord. There is a quote which says, “Things turn out the best for the people who make out of the way things turn out”.

Thomas Alva Edison who lived between 1847  to 1931) was a famous American inventor, great scientist, and a buisnessman who developed many devices that greatly influenced life around the world. His inventions include phonograph, motion picture camera, and an electric light bulb. Once his laboratory in New Jersey burnt in an accident and it cost him 7 million dollars, He said, “There is a great value in disaster; all our mistakes burnt out.” Ask God today to give the kind of faith that will never be shaken by life’s hard situations. If you are facing loss in your business?, failure in your studies, your work, and in a terrible situation and none around to help you? Go to the One who will is a Divine Helper who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). May our Lord be gloried through your firm faith in Him alone!

Remember the Faith Formula for your unresolved problem!

Prayer: Father, help me to stand firm on the faith I have in you not only during the times all goes well but also during the times all do not go well.

Have a wonderful day!
