Forgiven! Not Forsaken!

God made Him (Jesus Christ) who had no Sin to be Sin for us – 2 Corinthians 5:21

Apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:21, “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” Apostle Paul also writes in Romans the original state of man, before accepting Jesus Christ. Because of Adam’s Sin of disobedience to God’s command not to eat from the tree that God forbid, the entire humanity Sinned against God. Every human born in to this world, born with the garment of Sin. Because of the original Sin of Adam the entire humanity is subjected to Death and Condemnation. Adam’s Sin led mankind to embrace Sinful nature and became unrighteous in the sight of the Lord. This is the standard that the Lord does not require of man.  Apostle Paul writes in Romans 3:23, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. God is the ultimate in both Fatherly love (John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life) and unbiased justice against wrong doing as it is written in Romans 2:11, “for God does not show favoritism.” God is impartial and do not show favoritism. God’s judgment against wrong doing is not unpunished; there is equal justice to all. Again God is good to all HE created. So He provided a perfect way for justice to be satisfied. All sins must be justly punished, yet sinners must be freed. Thus redemption, the work of God for paying the penalty for our sins through the sacrificial death of His own Son is a part of God’s redemptive work and divine plan to provide justification (forgiveness of sins) to all who believed in Jesus Christ who paid penalty for man’s sin at the cross to free us from the eternal death and offer the free gracious gift of righteousness by faith alone (Romans 10:9, 10 - That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved). God sent Jesus Christ as a penalty for our Sins as written in 2 Corinthians 5:21. Thus God’s justice and love satisfied on the cross through the sacrificial death of His only Son, Jesus Christ. In order to receive this free gift of Salvation one has to repent and confess the sins. When one confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in the heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead, he/she is saved. God in His mercy forgives all the sins and declares one as righteous. Because one accepted Jesus Christ as the Savior of his/her life, God gave the same righteousness of Jesus Christ to that person. The person escaped the eternal condemnation and eternal death but offered redemption and eternal life. What a great privilege it is to be called children of God! If you are troubled by your sins and worried none will forgive you, here you have the One who alone has the authority to forgive sins offer you a free gift of Salvation and reserve a place for you in heaven. Believe in Jesus Christ you will never be ashamed or dismayed. You will be forgiven and not forsaken!

Once there was a rich man lived in a country side. He owned lots of estates, properties and treasures. He had only one son and this son is a soldier and serving his country. During a war, his son was killed and his garments well packed and given to the father as a souvenir. The rich father so love his son treasured it and every day he opened his eyes on his most loved son's garment. A day came, where the father died. Because there is none after the rich man and according to his will, the county authorities, decided to auction all his estates, properties, and treasures. A day was fixed for the auction. Since, the rich man was well-known in the area many came to visit his villa to see what they can take from the auction. As all gathered, the auctioneer announced that the rich man’s treasures will be auctioned that day and started with a very small package. The auctioneer announced this is the rich man’s soldier son’s old garment and is a service men’s uniform; the father treasured this till his last breath. None from the audience impressed with the first item. Some murmured, “who need this old stinky garment!” “Why not we move the next item?” another voice came from people. Some gossiped, “we are not here to take these clothing.” Finally after some disturbance, a gentle man came forward and expressed his interest in accepting the old garments. No contestants! Auctioneer screamed, “Soldier Son's Old Garment Package” 1…….2……3. The bell rang, to others shock the Auctioneer announced, “The auction is over!” None believed this would happen…people disappointed! Later, the auctioneer announced that, the rich man willed that, “whoever accepts his son’s old garment gets all his estates, properties, and treasures.”

God is ready to offer all the wonderful things of life not only to this life but even beyond towards eternity. All He expects you is to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. If you have Jesus you have everything.  "The simple truth is that the only beautiful thing about the Christian is Jesus Christ," quoted Roy Hession in his book, "The Calvary Road."

Remember the believers' equation: Jesus + Nothing = Enough!

Prayer: Father, Thank you for your Son Jesus Christ, I would like to have this Jesus Christ as my Savior of Life, Even as I have Him, I want him to be my Lord of life and want to be under His supreme authority. Please help me to lead a Christ-honoring life every day and every moment. In Jesus Name..Amen!

May you have a great Day!
