Practical Applications in our Spiritual life?

 - Bro. Nirmal Stephenson

Christian life applied in some of the practical aspects of life:

Are we growing in the Lord? We want to look at some of the practical aspects of Christian life.

Heb 6:1 Leaving behind the elementary principles,… going on to perfection.

1. Matt 25:21-30

Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Are we faithful in the few things in our day-to-day life which God has committed in our lives?

Are we waiting for some big things ignoring the little things which God has given in our hands.

I’ve seen people aspiring for a very high income job and be grumbling about the job they have in hand which fetches them. What is needed is doing faithfully and whole-heartedly the small insignificant job which God has given us in our hands and when God brings a higher income job we can then switch. So, whatever our situation is, are we thankful for the few things God has given in our hands and be faithful with them.

Eccl 9:10

10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might;

Col 3:23

23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Matt 20:28

28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

Not expecting others to serve you but having a serving attitude.

Many people have complaints against others saying that they did not help me, they did not do this to me etc.,

As children of God, we are to be leaning only on God and not on anyone else. We need to be standing on our own legs so to say. If God sends someone to help us, thank God. If there is no one to help us also, let us praise God. If we want to grow up in our Christian walk we will not have any complaint against anyone whether they help us or not.

What can I do to make other people’s lives better? How can I help others?

There is no harm in receiving help when it comes our way but there should not be a demand in our hearts saying others should help.

Victory: over what? Over laziness, over food, over our own lethargic attitude not being able to work hard. These are the basic things over which we need to establish our victory before we can even think of accomplishing great things. Life is ebbing away day by day. Are we making the most of our lives?

God bless you.
